The bed was comfortable and the staff were nice and helpful. It was surprisingly quiet, too. Otherwise, it's a very basic, overpriced hotel in an overpriced Isla Mujeres, though it does have a gorgeous beach and is still one of the cheapest places you'll find in the central area.

Everything you need, from groceries to beaches, is within walking distance. The downstairs room was very quiet. There was some music upstairs at night, but it stopped early enough, around 10:30, and my kids weren't bothered. They liked the rooftop terrace and its view over the busy street. The room had a good sized fridge for groceries and beers, and there was a water dispenser and microwave by reception. The air conditioning worked well, so my husband was happy. I also appreciated that they seem to avoid plastic that creates garbage, with reusable shopping bags and soap sealed in paper.

The owner of this rental was amazing, and the property is in a perfect spot. Step out the front door and you're on the restaurant and shopping row. Within two blocks, there's a beach, a convenience store, or a laundry service. The laundry is extremely cheap and well done.

It was a little challenging to find, but the location is very central, just a few minutes from the North beach. For CHF55.- a night, I got a comfy bed, A/C, WiFi, a fridge, a clean room, and friendly staff. There's also a rooftop "terrace" and a drip coffee maker. Nice.
