Rocamar Hotel Panoramico Isla Mujeres

The location and views are the best things about this hotel. It's perfectly placed for restaurants, bars, the ferry, and the supermarket, and the front desk staff were super, super kind. Our first room was quite dirty, but we thought there might've been a mix-up, so we told the desk. They changed it straight away with no trouble and were kind to us throughout the stay. Hot water worked fine except for one day, when they helped us right away. They also provide beach towels, which was handy. For the value, it seems like a 5 star place and has everything we could need. If we return to the island, this is our favorite, and I wouldn't even consider looking at other hotels. With a sea view room it can get quite windy. It didn't bother us, but very light sleepers may want to consider that. The upside was we never had mosquitoes on the balcony or in the rooms. We'll miss this place so much.

I cancelled my booking within a day because my plans changed, but more than a month of trying to get in touch still hasn't got my payment refunded. I wouldn't book with this hotel.

The view is amazing, and we stay here often, but sleeping in the heat was really hard because the air conditioning was so bad. The TV picture was awful too. The balcony also feels dangerous, with openings a child could fall through. They'd need to fix a few things before this felt like a five star stay.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location is handy, about ten minutes from everything. The view is the only fancy part. I wish we'd been on an upper floor to enjoy it, especially from the shower. On the first floor, people walking past could see into the room, which felt a little strange.
