We liked the quieter spot in the North island's commercial area, close enough to walk to North Beach, restaurants, the ferry, and the docks for day tours. It's right on the ocean and feels like very good value for four-star quality. The Caribbean side here is rocky and not for swimming, but it's lovely for a waterside walk and views without the crowds. We slept with the window open to the sound of the waves, and the pool, which looks out over the ocean, was never crowded. Our top-floor corner room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with a big balcony and jacuzzi. Service was exceptional, especially Candy at Reception, who made sure we had what we needed. One small thing to know: the hotel lobby entrance is through the pool gate on the ocean-facing side. The Mint felt like a hidden gem on Isla Mujeres, and I'd highly recommend it.

Candy was a huge help throughout our four-night stay in June, and the customer service was excellent from the start. The atmosphere was calm, the rooms were very spacious and clean, and ours had great AC and a private balcony. We also loved the pool and its ocean views. We had a wonderful time and would stay again, and recommend it to anyone visiting Isla Mujeres.

The pools were a highlight, with a great view, and the location is hard to beat. Shops, bars, and restaurants, including places serving breakfast, are a 1-5 minute walk away; the ferry is 5-10 minutes on foot, so there’s no need to arrange transfers. Our room was surprisingly large and clean, and the complex seemed well maintained apart from the elevator, which worked one day and was out the next two. Reception and housekeeping were friendly. The bar staff changed from day to day. A few room details were odd. The terrace was great for relaxing, but only had two chairs and no table, so drinks or food had to go on the ground. The ceiling fan only worked when the large light beside it was on. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms, which is handy, but only the toilet room has a washbasin. There was a coffee machine with two capsules, but no sugar or milk powder, just black coffee. Also, a large reflector near the roof lit the building and street, and with no thick blackout curtains it made the room seem like daytime at around 11 p.m. That could make it tough to rest, especially with kids. These quirks are manageable, but seem like easy fixes.

Everything was clean, and the location was terrific. The room was nice, though it could use blackout shades and more seating. I only noticed eight loungers by the pool, probably because the pool itself is fairly small. Most of the service was friendly, though one older woman was noticeably grumpy. I'd stay again and hope they add a few more basic room amenities.

The best things here are the huge, clean, modern rooms and the easy walk to beautiful Playa Norte, restaurants, and street food vendors. The pool is nice for lounging, and there's a bar and restaurant, though I didn't try the food. The hotel sits beside the ocean but has no beach access; the nearby shore is rocky and rough for swimming, though the sand and atmosphere are nice. It felt more like a hotel than a resort. I won't recommend it to friends and family or stay here again. I was told to pay a $1200MXN “visitor fee” to bring a friend to shower and change after a day on the island, even though Expedia listed my rate for two people. Staff and the manager said it was policy. That attempt to charge more felt off-putting, and Expedia couldn't explain how a two-person rate could come with that policy. The wifi didn't work in my room, only slowly in the lobby, so I used a lot of eSIM data. In 2026, a “resort” should have working wifi in every room. They also don't provide beach towels. You have to “sign out” a pool towel, a small hassle, but it'd be nicer to have beach towels and not have to check out a towel for the pool.
