Villa Elena Isla Mujeres

The stay at Villa Elena was lovely, and we spent three nights there. It's charming, clean, and peaceful, with a relaxed pace that made it easy to unwind and enjoy Isla Mujeres. Everything seemed thoughtfully looked after. The comfortable, welcoming service stood out from beginning to end. We arrived early, well before check-in, and the staff let us leave our luggage safely while the room was being prepared. That made a real difference. The Ultramar Ferry is about a five-minute walk away, which made getting there and leaving with luggage easy. And the bed was incredible, like sleeping on pillows. After long days exploring, it felt wonderful to come back to, and we slept well every night. Villa Elena combines comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. We'd absolutely return and recommend it to anyone after a cozy, well-located, genuinely welcoming place on Isla Mujeres.

Villa Elena made an amazing home base on Isla Mujeres. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the location was perfect, and the views were beautiful. It has quirky charm and a rooftop patio, too. I don't want the secret to get out, but the place deserves the praise. Thanks for such a great experience. 🙂

We had a really nice stay. The bed was big, and the place was clean and quiet. Best toilet paper we've had in four weeks in Mexico, haha.

We booked after seeing the good reviews, and we weren't expecting a high-end resort since we hadn't paid much. The location was the one good thing, and the rooftop view was great. But problem after problem came up, with nothing done to make things right or reimburse us. The TV didn't work. I messaged about it, and they looked at it but couldn't fix it. The blankets had some kind of stains, and the shampoo, soap, and toiletries were visibly used and hadn't been replaced. There was no hot water. When I messaged to ask if there was somewhere else to shower, they said someone had switched it off and I should have told them sooner, since they'd forgotten to turn it back on. I hadn't tried the shower earlier, so I didn't know. The on-site staff didn't speak English, but we managed to communicate with Google Translate. All in all, it felt like a waste of money: not well cared for, not very clean, and not functional. The online pictures are deceptive. Don't trust all the positive reviews; those people may not have stayed in room 2.
