Hotel Cipreses

The room was clean, the hallways smelled nice, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were really friendly, and there were lots of activities to keep you busy :) My only gripe was the charging ports: they were so high that the chargers kept falling out. Everything else was perfect, and I’d definitely return 😁

I chose the location because I prefer being away from the crowds, and it worked well. The city center was still an easy walk there and back. The rooms were fine and very clean, the bathrooms spotless, and the cleaning staff did a great job. Service was 10/10. The two managers, José/Juan (if I’m remembering right) during the day and Pablo at night, were dedicated and did a lot to make the stay pleasant. I should be clear that this isn’t a boutique or luxury hotel. The reason for my one star is the misleading advertising: it says there are three pools, but only one is “open.” As far as I understand, they don’t have a date for finishing repairs on the others. That’s what brought the rating down.

A safe place with a calm feel, and a very good stay otherwise. I gave it 3 stars because it’s a bit far from restaurants, shops, and public transportation.

We’d reserved a room, but when we arrived it had been given to someone else. The replacement they tried to put us in was in poor condition, with damp walls. The hotel itself seemed run down, and the receptionist had a bad attitude. We stayed only because we’d already paid, and we definitely wouldn’t return. One star is the lowest I can give.
