It's well maintained, private, reasonably priced, and close to Playa la Ropa beach. There are plenty of restaurants, and buses and taxis are easy to get to. Keep a translator app on your phone, as it can be useful for communicating. I love this place and am coming back next year.

My usual travel planning let me down badly at Bungalow's Zihuataneo/Ixtapa. I always check a hotel room or rental in person before paying, and this time I found a disgusting, moldy room that looked nothing like the online photos. The kitchen wasn't sanitary either. Then dealing with Expedia to cancel was a nightmare: hours of calls and transfers, with no resolution. I've put photos and videos on their Google Maps profile. Save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else. Think twice about using Expedia too. #zihuatanejo #travelreview #expedia #badhotel #traveltips

There were barely any utensils, plates, or dishwashing supplies in the kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was frustrating unless you went down to the pool.
