The location is superb, with easy access to a good variety of shops and restaurants. El Palmar Beach is amazing, the best in the area. It’s wide, has deep sand, and is very clean, with no weeds or Sargassa. The waves are moderate, but be careful going in and out, and never turn your back on the ocean. The pools and restaurant are great, with good service, beautiful beach palapas, and pool chairs. The building is aging, though, so you’re lucky if your condo is well maintained. Some have dripping faucets, and some charge extra electricity for running the A/C. You’ll need A/C. It’s 30 degrees every day and only cools to 28 at night. Towels may only last a week before you have to do their laundry. Bottled water and ice are sold at the security desk for $350 MX each, and pool access bracelets currently cost $350 MX each. Hosts are responsible for providing soap, toilet tissue, and light bulbs.
