After trying 14 all-inclusive resorts across Mexico, this is just my polite opinion: the beach and ocean were amazing, and the restaurant and bar staff were wonderful. But the buffet had a small, repetitive selection, the snack bar was below average, and the two à la carte restaurants were practically impossible to book without wasting hours. We ate out five of our seven nights. The entertainment team and upper management didn’t seem to have much time or respect for foreigners. I did appreciate that food wasn’t allowed around the pool, though the pool itself needed a good cleaning. There was so much sand, hair, and debris in it. I’d return to Ixtapa, but not this resort.

I had a stressful trip getting here, but arriving at Park Royal turned things around. The hotel is clean and nice, my room was spacious, and the view was beautiful. Everyone was friendly and professional, especially Leticia and Luis at Veranda restaurant. I’d highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

We had a great time here, whether with family or as adults. Lalo’s zumba class was loads of fun, and Alejandro’s aqua aerobics really felt like a workout. The whole funtastic team had a funny, upbeat vibe.

The waiters do their jobs well, but the reservation and housekeeping staff were very unpleasant and acted like they were above us. The service was bad overall, and I wouldn’t recommend the place.
