Parking was convenient, and the owner or caretaker, I’m not quite sure which, was very friendly, as were the dogs. But the room was dirty throughout. The bed clearly hadn’t been changed, with hair all over, so we asked for another blanket to avoid sleeping directly on the sheets. It’s a shame, because more attention to cleanliness could make this a good place.

After 32 years away, I returned to the place where I was born, with my 30-year-old eldest daughter, who had never been there. We stayed at five hotels, and I’d put this one at number four, mainly because of the location and the minimal service, which we didn’t need much of. The room was simple and clean, and the air conditioning worked great. There wasn’t any hot water. I appreciated that the night clerk stayed up for our late arrival.

The pool, with its cenote water, was lovely, and there were lots of dogs around. Our host was friendly and really helpful. The room was clean, the beds were good, and so was the shower. The kitchen had everything we needed and a very powerful stove. When we asked for a few extra things, they brought them over. We had a pleasant stay :)

The people here were so lovely, and Marlet and Peter took wonderful care of me. It was quiet and felt safe, the rooms were great, the pool was fabulous, and everything was spotlessly clean. I’ve been here nearly two weeks and this has been my favourite place so far. I stayed three great nights and really didn’t want to leave. I recommend Buenos Dias without reservation. If you’re going to Isamal, stay at Buenos Dias. You’ll be glad you did.

We spent four nights in the apartment and loved it. Marli was a wonderful host, and her dog Kepi was incredibly cute. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy the sights of Izamal. I’d recommend it to anyone.
