The building is beautiful, and it’s about a 15-minute walk from the center. That’s about all I liked. At check-in, the receptionist couldn’t find our reservation. When she finally sorted something out, she said we could only pay cash. We didn’t have the full amount, so offered three-quarters then and the rest after withdrawing cash that evening. She refused, saying no payment meant no room. She was impolite and didn’t smile, with a tone that made us feel like a bother. The room wasn’t clean: ants, spiders, cobwebs, and stains all over the bedding. There was no hot water, barely any shower pressure, and the Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable. The pool was dirty, too. After our first night, that same receptionist asked if we needed her to come clean the room and make the bed.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the place feels comfortable and pleasant. The price may seem a little high, but I think it’s worth it. It’s handy if you’re traveling as a pair, since each extra person costs 100 pesos more than the regular rate. Highly recommended.
