There's plenty to wander around on the grounds, with several spots to sit and relax. The staff were really friendly, and the gift shop is worth a look. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the little cafe was fine for breakfast or a morning coffee. A distinctive place to stay in Izamal, with lots of character.

The rooms are comfortable, and the central courtyard is especially lovely, with koi fish and turtles in its pond. The colonial architecture and local decor give San Miguel Arcángel Izamal an authentically Mexican feel. It's a charming, quirky spot right in the historic city, and the atmosphere is a big part of the appeal. Breakfast is very sparse, just coffee and two pieces of toast, so I wanted more to start the day. A nice stay if ambiance matters more to you than amenities.

There are lots of doors and windows, which is great, and the bus station and restaurants are close by. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are really nice. Breakfast could use some work, especially more coffee and an easier way to get it. Izamal is a nice place to spend a few pleasant days, enjoy the convention and pyramid.

The room had a funky smell and bugs all over it. I might not have made a big deal of that, but then I found a bed bug. I could only find one. Este hotel tiene chinches.

The hotel's coffee shop is tucked into a really nice spot at the back, in a little garden area. Prices were good, and the frappe was tasty, but the smoothie I ordered was basically frozen mango. The service was nice, though they didn't speak English. They accept credit cards.
