Such a calm, amazing place!

Had a great time with the family.

The place itself is nice, but it's badly neglected, and sadly it doesn't justify the price. The pool was dirty, so I cleaned it myself. They said they couldn't do anything without electricity, but there seemed to be little effort on anything. There was no hot water, and they didn't give us a tour or anything. The welcome was terrible. There was no electricity, and they told me I wouldn't be able to see the lights and they didn't know whether I'd come back, even though the rest of the hotel had power. They brought buckets for the bathroom and bathing, which made it clear they weren't ready for an emergency. It felt as if they don't clean or do anything when there are no guests. One person seemed to be handling everything, there was no manager available, and the owners didn't seem to care. The staff had no customer service skills. I ordered dinner, but they limited the time and told me to look elsewhere because of the outage. In the end, they cooked it by candlelight. As I said, the food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. They did cancel the service, but that's what I was told after I asked for a price adjustment. If you can find somewhere better and cheaper, great. We found a very simple place with excellent service. They helped us with a lot, including booking a tour, and the food was delicious.

The tours were worthwhile, the food was good, and there was always hot water. The hotel was clean, quiet, and beautiful, and the service was excellent, especially from Giovanni and Juan, who made our stay feel special. I loved it, and we'll definitely return. Highly recommend.
