InHouse Glamping Hotel La Paz

The location is about 20 minutes from the airport, and so central to the malècon, restaurants, and bars that we basically walked everywhere. The customer service was unreal. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, and you could tell they really loved their jobs. We stayed in two different rooms, and both were gorgeous. Los Cabos was my favorite, a two bed suite right in front of the pool. The rooms were clean, with new, well designed amenities and views of the ocean below.

The bedbugs showed up at 11 PM, on our first night there, and we spent three miserable nights dealing with them. The room was meant to be industrial shabby chic, but to me it felt like a big concrete closet. The hotel said they were full and couldn’t do anything until the next day. It was peak season and too late to find somewhere else, so we used the second bed and tried not to squirm. They put our belongings through the dryer for a while, hoping to kill any eggs, and moved us to another room, but that was only available for one night. The next day we had to return to the original room after they said it had been cleaned. When we came back late that night, there were even more bugs than before, crawling over the bed and coming from the walls. Again, there was no room available and it was too late to find another hotel, so we slept in the second bed once more. They offered no refund, amenities, or discount, only access to the dryer. I’ll never set foot in this place again. Check every mattress carefully if you stay. They certainly don’t.

What a charming surprise. I wasn’t expecting a place this cute. The rooms were nicely decorated, the restaurant was pleasant, and the food was good. Service was wonderful, and Angel greeted us, showed us around, and was such a sweetheart. There’s secure parking, too.

This place feels like my new home away from home. Hotels usually feel stuffy and too carbon-copy for me, but this one is unique. The ‘rooms’ are beautiful, with thoughtful decor and layout, and there’s a gorgeous pool with well laid out grounds. It feels very secure, and the staff are amazing. José from maintenance was really sociable, and Angel was my first point of contact and kept checking in on me throughout the visit. It’s safe, clean, and very well situated. It’s awesome, just don’t tell your friends, it’s our little secret 😉
