Hampton Inn by Hilton Leon Guanajuato

Traffic from the street made it hard to sleep, which was the one real disappointment. The rest was what you'd expect from a Hampton hotel. Breakfast had an incredible range and quality, and the service team surprised me most. There were several staff members, they were well trained, attentive, and very helpful.

The security staff were great when our rental car broke down in the garage. They helped push it up and were really friendly. The bartender was friendly too.

The food was a real letdown. It's hard to find something delicious on the menu, and my partner got sick after eating a bad beef burger. She was throwing up and making frequent trips to the bathroom, and had to excuse herself from work. When she told the receptionist, the response was, "that's not possible because that doesn't happen here." That was really disappointing. We got no acknowledgment of the problem and were just shut down. The staff are usually friendly, smiling, and ready to help with whatever you need, from room service to laundry. There are even snacks and personal care items at reception for emergencies. I loved the bar, and the lobby has nice little areas to sit and take a break. The gym has the basics, and the pool area is nice, though the pool is only four feet deep. The place is comfy and cute, not too fancy. The bathroom was fine, but I wasn't keen on the shower. The TV is very old, has no internet, and everything is dubbed. Breakfast has some items I hate, but there are things I like too. The juice is very warm, so I had to ask for ice. Everything is close by, including a movie theater, malls, restaurants, shops, fast food, clubs, and bars, all within about 2, 5, or 10 minutes.

The free breakfast the next morning was good, with a nice range of food and great service. It was a totally different experience from dinner the night before. We sat down at 9 pm, an hour before closing, but the waiter was rude and rushed us, with only a few dishes to choose from. The food took forever. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.
