Hotel Boutique Casa Monarca

The rooms are comfortable and the place looks nice, but they don't honor reservations. Parking is tiny, and I couldn't even use it. Guests were so loud, yelling in the hallways and keeping me from resting. There's no air conditioning or room-service phone, and my room door wouldn't even shut.

It's a new and attractive place, but it feels more like a motel and the guests can ruin the stay. It's 2 AM now and people nearby have their music turned way up. Smoking is meant to be banned, yet someone in the next room is smoking. When a room is being vacated, the cleaning lady is also very noisy. I wouldn't suggest staying here if you need rest. Apart from that, I think it's a good place.

I paid $600 per night for a room to stay in, and I wouldn't come back. The room had a single bed even though we had clearly booked for two people. There was no phone to call reception, no Wi-Fi, peeling ceiling paint, and what looked like dried blood from some strange liquid in fingerprint marks at the bottom of the bedroom. Before paying, we asked about parking and were assured it was available. But when we tried to park, we were told to wait until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. for the motorcycle owners using the only spot to finish motelizing. We said we weren't going to stay awake that late, so they had us load the motorcycle to get our car in.

The location worked well. The parking area seemed very small, though; I had no trouble since I was traveling by motorcycle.
