The balcony was bigger than my spare room at home! You're right on the waterfront, with birds to watch in the morning, a gorgeous sunrise, and just steps to the pedestrian Street for shops, restaurants, and the mission. There's a beautiful pool area and lots of excellent live music. Once you figure out the shower handle needs to be pulled toward you, the place feels like perfection, with luxury and a great location.

This is a classy hotel, not a bargain stay, and the rooms are gorgeous and spacious with stunning decor. The pool is beautiful, too. We stopped in during a December 2024 cruise to check it out for a possible extended stay in the future. Great location.

I visited Loreto with a church group in October and stayed at La Mision Hotel on the malecon, near the harbor and not far from the central Plaza. The room was spacious and clean, with a view of the Sea of Cortez. Staff were courteous, the food was tasty, and the pool area was large. The room didn't have a fridge or microwave.

The balcony looked out over Loreto's beautiful ocean, and the air-conditioned interior had a TV and two beds in each room. The hotel felt very luxurious, with a great pool and jacuzzi, plus a bar serving everything from beer to chips and guacamole. There's also a restaurant on the second floor. A heads-up for new visitors: don't count on someone always being at the Starbucks inside. Usually you have to ask for help there, and the gift shop is the same way.
