The people working here are friendly, helpful, and always around when you need them. We even picked up a few small gifts for friends before we left. The rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable. The hotel itself is adorable, with flowers everywhere and lovely cats that give it extra warmth. So much care has gone into the design and all its little details. It’s a charming small hotel in a great location, and I’d happily recommend it.

We especially liked the rooftop patio and its view over Mahahual. Hotel Pachamama was recommended by the dive shop next door, and we had a lovely stay. Miki was very sweet and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, with both AC and a fan.

The rooftop patio has lovely ocean views if you don’t mind climbing a few stairs. Our room was basic but had a cozy patio, a fridge, plenty of closet space, and a safe. The bathroom could use a little attention, though the water temperature and pressure were really nice. The hotel is in a good spot in town, one block from the main strip, and felt peaceful. There’s a cute boutique at the entrance with bracelets, bags, and clothes, plus a sweet senior cat who greets you in the main room. The staff were friendly, and the place was kept in good shape. We enjoyed our stay.

The bed was one of the best I’ve had in any hotel, and the shower was fantastic too, with hot water and real pressure. There were outlets beside the bed for my husband’s CPAP machine. WiFi was very fast and never dropped, and the mini fridge came in handy for keeping beer cold for our patio after a sunny day. We had a ground-floor room with a private courtyard, which was beautifully decorated. I was on crutches, and there were just two steps to get into the hotel, then everything was on one level. The whole place and our room were very clean. The hosts were friendly, and their presence made it feel safer. It seems like a good place for a woman traveling alone. It’s close to the beach but away from the busy, hectic boardwalk, and the beach behind the hotel was really nice for swimming.
