Hotel El Caballo Blanco

The views from every room are incredible, and there's a rooftop pool and lounge looking out over the beach. It's a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Tina was a wonderful host, really friendly and accommodating. I'm definitely planning to come back.

Mahahual is such a friendly, laid-back gem, and Tina, the owner of El Caballo Blanco, is well respected around town and treats you like family. The seven-room boutique hotel is in the best part of Mahahual, with membership at the beach club right across from it. Several upscale restaurants and other beach spots along the malecon are an easy walk away. Boats also leave regularly for fishing, snorkeling, and diving. A lovely place for you and your family.

We've already stayed twice and I'm planning another trip. Mahahaul and El Caballo Blanco have become my favorite getaway. The views are breathtaking, and Tina welcomed us so warmly. Her hospitality and the service are impeccable. The rooms are cheerful and beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds. The TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, and other essentials all worked perfectly. Keep in mind this is rural southern Mexico, not a big city. The infrastructure isn't like what you'd find in major US cities, but the owner goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable and smooth. I'm captivated by the magic of Mahahaul and El Caballo Blanco, and can't wait to return.

Everything feels carefully done, from the mattresses and sheets to the bathroom tile, with loads of little details that make the rooms comfortable and beautiful. Tina and the staff are exceptional. It's hard to imagine a more welcoming, clean place to stay, and the rooms have gorgeous terraces. There's also a beautiful private rooftop pool. Highly recommended!
