Hotel Ristorante Luna de Plata

There’s no longer a restaurant at the hotel, but shops and restaurants are an easy walk away. The beds were comfortable, the showers hot, and the rooms had air conditioning. Potable water is available for guests on site. It’s just south of town, far enough from the cruise port to stay quiet and peaceful. We’d happily stay here again.

Dario and the rest of the staff made my stay comfortable and enjoyable, and the hotel went beyond what I expected. The location was ideal too, quiet, safe, and convenient. Having a private beach is hard to beat.

Our room, #3, was right above reception and very noisy. We could hear the conversations and music from below. Breakfast was also disappointing. The complimentary spread was literally three slices of bread with Heinz jam, butter, and a toaster, and both times we went to the dining area that morning it was dirty, as shown in the photo. Most hotels in the area manage a simple but tasty breakfast, and adding watermelon or something similar wouldn’t cost much. Service was the worst part. When we asked for coffee and bread at breakfast, the woman was inattentive and rude. She said they’d run out of coffee and that we’d have to pay for the coffee she offered.

It’s a shame the staff seemed so uninterested in guests. The room was nice once they repaired the AC, but the service left me really sad.
