My four-night reservation started with check-in on Monday 12/29, and I was first put in room 706. Everything was fine until Wednesday, when I came back from exploring town and my key card no longer worked. The front desk reactivated it without asking anything. But when I got back to the room, it had been reassigned, and someone else's belongings were inside. They asked if I'd left anything in the room. I hadn't, but I had paid for it and it was assigned to me for several nights. The front desk associate was polite and tried to reach her supervisors, but no manager was available. She said the system showed my reservation had always been for room 708, although I had been in 706 since check-in. My key card and envelope both said 706, and front desk staff member Myrna had seen that herself. We were eventually given another room, but the failure of safety and privacy was unacceptable. I'm still waiting for upper management to respond. Neither room was clean, and the restroom, shower, and countertops in both had an unpleasant smell.

When we arrived, a few things weren’t what we expected. Vanessa at the front desk handled every request and concern right away, though, and took great care of us. My family and I were really happy with our weekend stay. Thank you so much, Vanessa, for looking after us. Muchas gracias.

The room was cozy, and the air conditioning worked just right. There were some pretty good movie channels too. We haven’t tried breakfast yet, so we’ll see how that goes.

The pool was a highlight, really warm, and breakfast was good. The air conditioning worked great; it was noisy, but easy enough to tune out. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and the shower water wasn’t very hot. We only stayed one night. The chairs in the room made a lot of noise when moved, and our neighbor kept moving one around, which got annoying fast.

The rooms are extremely small and could use a thorough cleaning. Service, on the other hand, was quick and friendly, and the location was quite good. For the price it met our needs, but with so many other places to choose from in Manzanillo, we wouldn’t stay here again.
