Hotel Tenisol

We stayed in the penthouse and had a beautiful view. The hotel is still under construction, though the room itself was great, and the restaurant by the pool served really delicious food. The place is inside a gated community with beach access, and there's a convenience store down the street. It was calm, quiet, and felt safe. The staff were very friendly to me and my grandfather, and even with fewer people working because of the COVID pandemic, they were accommodating. Great prices too. I’m definitely coming back.

The room price was reasonable, and the staff were very nice, but the property felt rundown and overdue for a major renovation. We had limited hot water. At the restaurant, there were only four people including my wife and me. They brought us the wrong meals, then walked off when we pointed it out and never returned. Very strange. The pool needs work too, and there was rebar sticking out under the swim-up bar counter where your legs go.

We were grateful they were available at midnight, since lots of places close early. For four adults, one night cost 1350 pesos, and children 10 and under stayed free. Our room had three full-size beds and a mini fridge. It was fairly close to the beach on foot, though not right on it, and the huge glass walls looked out over the whole yard. There was AC and a nice bathroom with really good shower pressure. We also had a huge beach house right on the front, but that wasn't Tenisol property. The hotel room was cooler, didn't smell like fish, and was more comfortable, beds included. Definitely would come back!

Set in Club Santiago, a private and quiet place to stay, the hotel is in a good location. The service was good, and you get what you pay for.
