I was disappointed that the Black Friday room upgrade wasn’t honored. The website didn’t mention that it depended on availability when I booked. At La Capilla, the layout also means the sun shines straight into your face wherever you sit. The setting itself is gorgeous. The reception feels luxurious, the gardens are beautifully kept, the cabins are cozy, and the horses seemed well cared for. The staff I met were all friendly and excellent, though there were days when they seemed overworked and short-handed. Service could get very slow, especially for a la carte food. Sierra Lago in Mascota, Jalisco has a lot going for it, but staffing and clearer promotion terms need attention.

The food is great, and having everything included makes it easy to relax. There’s plenty to do among all the flowers and wildlife, or you can just take it slow in this lovely green setting.

I loved the quiet, natural setting at Sierra Lago Resort. You can spend time on the trails, go horseback riding, or sit by the lake and enjoy the mountain scenery. It’s a relaxing escape from everyday life. The food was excellent, made with fresh ingredients and prepared well. I’d have liked a little more variety on the menu. With its peaceful atmosphere and range of outdoor activities, Sierra Lago Resort is a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature.

Sierra Lago is beautiful, but the food was always late. One of the drivers was really rude whenever we asked him for something, and he kept disappointing us. He shouldn’t be working at Sierra Lago.

There aren’t other places to eat nearby, so the all-inclusive setup makes sense. The food was okay, though it could be better, and it was often served later than I expected. The activities were good, but service and room cleanliness could use improvement. Still, Sierra Lago is a beautiful, peaceful spot that helped me switch off completely. It made for a great weekend escape.
