Hotel México is in the heart of Madrid, with clean, beautifully decorated rooms, friendly staff, and excellent value. Just be prepared for some noise from the adjoining rooms and hallways.

The building has no cellphone signal, and I was glad we only had to stay one night. Other guests were partying until 3am, then someone else got up very early and made a lot of noise in the bathroom. Our room was in terrible shape, with a dead cockroach on the floor, a broken toilet seat, and a window to the corridor that wouldn’t close all the way. The prices aren’t lower than other hotels, so I can’t recommend staying here.

Still no changes since my update. It’s my only choice: great location, terrific Wi-Fi, hot showers, comfortable furniture, courteous staff, peace and quiet, and affordable prices. Wonderful place!

The room had a bit of a bad smell, though the hotel was great otherwise.
