Hotel Fontana Inn

****Theft**** We chose this hotel for the pool, and that was a big mistake. There was mold on the ceiling, cigarette burns on the bedding, and the decorative edging was coming off. The pillows were flat, and when we asked for another towel, they said they only provide two for a room with four people. You have to call staff to come adjust the air conditioning because they don’t give you a remote. Parties with loud music and people were allowed to go on until 3 a.m. The blackout curtains were too short, so outside lights came into the room at night. The cleaning staff stole my Flip flops. They were really nice platform ones with yoga mat lining for comfort and bling on top. The manager said she’d check the security tape, but after about 35 minutes waiting for some kind of reprimand, she told me they hadn’t seen anything. I asked the front desk attendant for the manager’s name and was told she wasn’t there that day. So who had checked the security tapes? There were no apologies or compensation, just a shake of the head.

Don’t come here expecting a quiet night with your family. This is a party motel, with loud music going until 5 a.m. I found more than 10 cigarette burn marks on the bathroom sink, a half-dead cockroach on the floor, and the wifi didn’t work. The restaurant served burnt eggs. I’m not being picky, just being honest. If you want to party all night by a 4-foot pool, this is the place.

The pool was excellent and very clean. It’s a nice place, close to shopping and restaurants.

I wouldn’t stay here again. Our room had roaches and there was no hot water. It doesn’t feel like a hotel to me, more like a motel, and I don’t think it’s a good place to bring the family.
