We had a cozy, fun family stay, and the cabin is spacious, pretty, and quiet. Hearing the river was a lovely part of it. I'd consider staying again if the issues are addressed. A lot needs attention: cockroaches in the kitchen, worn-out kitchen utensils, and a leaking sink that leaves the floor wet. There were cobwebs beside the beds, no mirrors in the bedrooms, and the fire pit area needs more light. The stream was full of trash. The pool table and its accessories were in such poor shape that they couldn't be used. Shower water wasn't regulated, and it only came out hot on and off in two bedrooms. Emergency contacts also took hours to respond.

A lovely way to get close to nature without giving up too many comforts.

The waterfall is so relaxing to hear from the terrace or the rooms, and the setting is quiet, right on the main road. The location is fantastic. Some upkeep would help, though: the living room furniture and mattresses need attention. The refrigerator didn't cool properly either, and the fresh orange juice we had for breakfast went sour.

The surroundings are beautiful, and the stream beside the cabin sounds really pleasant. The layout is lovely and the location is good, though being right by the highway meant truck noise at night. Inside, the furniture and utensils seemed poorly maintained and dirty, and we even found dirty dishes. The flies were the worst part: it took us over an hour to kill them all, and they kept returning. That night, people in a neighboring cabin partied with loud music until the early morning. It's unfortunate to see cabin quality in Mazamitla declining so much.

We felt safe and had good privacy. People around there were families, and we didn't run into anything strange or potentially dangerous. The staff at the archery range were friendly and respectful, the walking paths were pleasant, and the cleaning crew arrived right on time at checkout and were very kind. They did their best to sort out the power and water outages. Thanks to the host for having us. We hope to come back when it fits what we need better. ❤️ The cabin is close to downtown Mazamitla, and the view and sound of the water are lovely. We enjoyed the terrace fire pit for the best evening of our stay. It's a great place to gather with family or friends, with kitchen equipment, games, and TV entertainment, but some problems got in the way of relaxing. The water was off two mornings and one night. There's no cistern or tank, so when it goes out, you have to call, and it took about an hour to get fixed each time. The cabin wasn't very clean when we arrived, aside from the beds, and the old bedspreads and sofa covers were unpleasant. The garbage dump had no container, which spoiled the pretty view. It's right beside the road, not inside the forest. Potholes made trucks rattle past and interrupt our sleep, and engine braking was another noise, though it wasn't constant. The outdoor play area sits at the edge of the slope down to the stream, so barriers for children would make sense. I wouldn't recommend it for small kids because of the risk of falls and accidents, and wish the listing said so. This seems better suited to younger tourists who want to explore and have a good time than to people looking for a quiet, restful stay. A few lamps in the rooms and an iron would be great additions.
