Catania Apartments

The owner is very nice, and the location is really good. But the security guard or receptionist, who always wears a balaclava, was awful to deal with. She’s grumpy, rude, speaks badly to people, and is never at reception to let you in. The sauna doesn’t work, the secondary bathroom floods all the way into the living room, and the bathroom by reception near the pool is filthy. I hope they pay more attention to the staff and the cleanliness.

The apartment was filthy, some lights and doors were broken, the elevator was in bad shape, and the main pool was out of order. On top of that, the listing said it accommodated eight people, but they only allow six. The service was terrible, and the place didn’t match its description. I can’t recommend it.

You get an ocean view right from the boardwalk, and the location is excellent. Parking is the downside: it’s cramped and hard to maneuver in, so I’m giving it four stars instead of five.

Incredible view of the ocean.
