Hotel Boutique Casa Lulu

Breakfast is my husband’s favorite part. It’s nice to start the day slowly without having to figure out the first meal. The pool is relaxing, with plenty of sun and shade, and the staff are warm, friendly, and accommodating. It’s a beautiful little hotel, and we’ll make it our regular place when we stay here.

The location is lovely, and the beds were comfortable. We could walk to the city center and beaches, and having Netflix was a plus. But for the price, it didn’t feel like a boutique hotel. It felt more like being in an Airbnb with a family that didn’t want us there. We had to hunt down staff for basics like towels and to order breakfast. Most were absent, and some were rude and didn’t even greet us. At checkout, they seemed more focused on checking for damage than on whether we’d had a good stay. The bathroom still smelled bad after it was cleaned, the towels were stained, and trash and dirty towels sat around the pool for days until we asked someone to clean up. Toiletries were low quality, there was no hair dryer, and nowhere to store our things. Breakfast was served by the pool, but we had to go upstairs to find someone before we could get it. The choices were very limited, so it wouldn’t work well for people with dietary restrictions.

A gorgeous place to unwind, with an amazing view and really good service. Whether you’re on your own or with friends, it’s easy to enjoy the details, from the pool to the rooms.

The hotel is simple and very clean, and the breakfast was really good. Getting it was confusing, though: we were told to wait downstairs in the morning, but apparently we had to alert someone upstairs first. We waited a long time and got bitten by bugs. The internet didn’t work during our whole stay, either. The pool isn’t heated, so swimming isn’t very comfortable when it’s cool.
