Don Celes

It’s affordable, clean, well located, and the service is good. There’s a lot of noise from reception if you’re on the ground floor, but it gets very quiet at night. Everything else was great.

Anything you leave behind in your room should be considered lost.

It can get pretty hot here, but the A/C made it comfortable to sleep. The hotel is four blocks from the park and close to Puerto Ceiba. Reception staff are friendly, and there’s parking half a block away. The price, location, and service are good, though nearby businesses can be noisy late at night. If you’re a light sleeper, this might not be the best choice.

My first stay with my family went fine, but this time, traveling alone, I didn’t feel good about the room they gave me, number 15 on the third floor. The toilet lever didn’t work, so I had to take off the lid and reach into the drain. The mattress felt like the springs were gone, or something like that. I couldn’t sleep, which is a shame. They left a new toilet paper roll along with one that was half used, maybe by the previous guest. That was unpleasant. I hope they take this into account.
