Hotel La Palapa

I needed an inexpensive room for the night because of car trouble, and this did the job. The mattress was very firm but I could sleep on it. The TV had issues, though I did get a hot shower. WiFi worked okay in the office, but not in rooms farther away.

This seems like a good stop for people traveling through who just need a room for a night or two. There's plenty of parking, the rooms are larger than you might expect, and Wi-Fi is good, though speed can vary with how many people are using it. For visitors from the United States, I'd compare it to Motel 6, only a little better. We had an end room, and the water took a while to get hot. Coffee, tea, and water are available in the lobby. The gas station next door sells ice, and you can pick up supplies at the adjacent Bodega. The Chinese restaurant beside the Bodega is good, especially if you order from the menu. There's also good tacos a short walk east of the gas station on the same side of the street.

Clean rooms, helpful customer service, and reasonable prices. The quality felt like Comfort Inn, but they need to improve the hot water system.

It's a cheap place to get some rest, I guess, but those beds are hard as rocks! The WiFi isn't great, and the TV only has Spanish channels. For $32.00, though, it's okay.
