Hotel Oasis

The beach is about a mile and a half away, and at least I didn’t see any bugs. Still, the room was pretty bare, with just one towel per person and no little towels for washing your face. They charged a different price when I arrived to get the room. For what it costs, I’d call it fair, but you get what you pay for. I tried to shower and there was no hot water. The tank looked maybe an eighth full, so perhaps housekeeping had used it up, but I’m not sure. I’d spend a few more dollars and go somewhere better.

There was a cockroach still moving on the shower floor, and the place wasn’t clean. The water wasn’t working at all when we arrived, not in the shower, sink, or anywhere in the bathroom. The phone was broken too, so we had to go all the way out to tell them. They got the water working by the next morning, but then there was no hot water. Their “free food” also made me sick for the whole day. Horrible.

Dust all over, broken wall plugs, and an air conditioner that barely worked. The room smelled, too. One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed.

I found this as the cheapest room in Mazatlan online. The room was really clean, though it had a mirror on the ceiling and adult channels on the TV. I think the place may have been an “hourly” hotel before, but they’re fixing it up.
