Ocean View Beach Hotel

The view from the room was beautiful, and the location is good. Everything else was absolutely awful. The room looked extremely old and was falling apart, as the photos show. There was no fridge or wardrobe, and no shelves in the shower. The check-in mess started the day before we arrived. We were told my boyfriend might need to leave on check-in day, so we spent about 30 minutes signing documents and sending copies of our IDs so I could check in by myself. Then the next day, they said I still couldn’t check in alone. If he’d left, I wouldn’t have been able to check in at all. The whole process was pointless and frustrating. Only one elevator was working. We were on the 16th floor, and every trip down to the beach meant a long wait. The hallways and elevator had no AC either. The elevator was hot, dark, and so unpleasant it felt like a horror movie. We left and found a much better place for even less. Unless location is all you care about and you’re fine with discomfort, bad organization, and dated facilities, don’t stay here.

The view was great, the service was good, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is a little run down, though, and it shows.

The ocean view from our room on the 15th floor was gorgeous, and the front desk and other staff were amazing. But we booked the hotel’s biggest bed and my husband and I still couldn’t fit comfortably on it. Neither of us is oversized, though he is a bit tall. There was no fridge either, so drinks from the store would get warm quickly. The furniture was badly damaged, and things in the bathroom area were too. Our sheets were dirty when we arrived. We assumed they’d be changed during our stay, but they kept the stained ones, which we only noticed on our last day. We were there for our honeymoon, and the location is lovely. I wish the restaurant offered lunch and dinner as well as breakfast, and an all-inclusive drinks option would be nice too.

The view and location matched the advertisement, but the rest of the room didn’t look like the pictures. The mattress had a huge dip in the middle and was uncomfortable. Everything felt worn out and needed cleaning, new furniture, and paint. There were stains on the chair and sheets. Housekeeping left us without towels. I called the front desk, got no response, then went down and waited 30 minutes while they dried some. Maybe they don’t have enough towels. The elevator was very slow and made a strange sound, which felt sketchy. Breakfast was two stars at best. The pools were nasty, and there was no bar or way to order food outside. It was so uncomfortable that I left a night early and found somewhere else. I asked for a partial refund and they said no, but I wasn’t going to spend another night there.
