The staff were friendly throughout our week, from the organized front desk to the people who greeted us as they passed. The gardeners clearly work hard, and it shows. We enjoyed dinners at the sushi restaurant, which doesn’t take reservations, and Angelo's, where reservations are needed. The Deli was good for an included takeout lunch too. The chef was great and the food was really fresh. Breakfast at Paloma's was a daily stop, and the omelette lady was quick and organized. The restaurant could use some work, though: the A/C was leaking and some dividers were broken. The beach is right there, flat and easy to walk, with plenty happening: jewelry sellers, massages, hair braids, parachutes, jet skis, and food. The ocean looks beautiful, but the waves can be deceptive. The family pool was very busy, and the pool area was just OK. Some old loungers needed repairs, though towels were provided. We’d stay again and recommend it to friends.

Our second stay at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan gave us more great memories, and we’ll be back sooner rather than later. Sofia was so kind and helpful at check-in. Enrique and Oscar made the morning buffets what they were, and there were lots of kind, helpful men at the bar, including Fausto, Jesus, Juan, Guillermo, Antonio, and Cruz. Isai at Cilantro's went above and beyond to help us celebrate our son's birthday. Thank you, everyone. This is one of our favorite places in the world!

We’ve been coming to Pueblo Bonito for 30 years, and now our grandchildren come along too. From the moment we arrive, there are smiles and familiar faces. The staff are so friendly and ready to help, and Patty at the front desk always checks that we have what we need for a special vacation. We feel comfortable calling the desk whenever something comes up. The pool waiters are wonderful and even remember our usual drinks. We love eating on site, especially at Angelo’s and the Asian restaurant in the evening. The food is amazing. We’re already looking forward to next year, with the weather and sunsets that are like nowhere else.

We had an awesome vacation, and PB Mazatlan didn’t disappoint. The resort food was delicious, from the Japanese restaurant to the skirt steak and mashed potatoes my kids wanted almost every day. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance, plus a doctor, pharmacy, and convenience store just across the street. We took the shuttle to the sister resort in emerald bay for a day, and it was fun to look around. A morning cab to Centro Historico and the market is easy too, and I recommend it. Service was unbelievable. Anything I ordered arrived within five minutes, with a smile. The place was clean, and the rooms had good space, with a couch and dining table that worked well for room service meals. We were also pleasantly surprised to get free aquarium tickets. We went during Easter week, when the beach was packed with families and bands celebrating. It was a little too loud and busy for us, so next time we’d choose a non-holiday week.

My husband and I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Mazatland for 12 days in March of 2026. We didn’t realize when booking that it was a time share. We liked Mazatlán’s vibe and the resort’s size, but there were enough problems that we probably won’t stay here again. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants and stores, and it’s close to the Gold Zone while being a bit quieter. Still, it’s on a busy street that stays noisy. Bands on the beach played from about 2 pm, and music from the pharmacy across the street started at 7 am and ran until at least 10 pm. The hotel couldn’t control that, but I’d think they could lobby for changes. The service staff were lovely, and the rooms, linens, towels, grounds, and hallways were clean and well cared for. Food was good, but the menus barely changed. The à la carte places had small menus, so after a few days we were having the same things again. The pool bar food was just OK and limited. We booked a King Luxury suit but were given two beds. The front office offered a King Jr Suit instead. When we asked about a refund for the downgrade, they said we had to sign right away or be moved back to the other room. The agreement, they said, meant accepting the lower room category with no refund. That left us with a bad feeling, and the front office staff seemed very rude and unhelpful. In the room there was a coffee pot and two cups, but no coffee, fridge, or water. We could get water from the bar, which wasn’t a problem, but it was different from other all-inclusives we’ve stayed at. The concierge didn’t help us understand the hotel or its amenities. They didn’t explain where the restaurants were or what all-inclusive covered, so we learned from other guests or by stumbling across things. We were told reservations weren’t needed for a particular dinner, then turned away for not having one. When we tried to reserve the Italian restaurant, we were told there was nothing available for several nights, even though it looked empty. The mattress was too firm for comfort. A couple of quilts under the sheet helped a bit. All the pillows were about 12x12 and felt like lumpy mashed potatoes.
