The rates are high, so it’s worth weighing the cost against what you get before renting. It’s an elegant place with modern, very good facilities. One thing to keep in mind: there’s a small water treatment plant nearby, and with the windows open you might smell it for a while, sometimes longer.

The location is the big problem. It feels unsafe at night, and there’s a terrible sewage smell at any time of day. Walking to the beach or boardwalk means taking deserted streets that tourists rarely use. They’re in bad shape because repairs were started and left unfinished. I’d want a car for safety. Prices are exorbitant, too, and in peak season they go up by half the agreed price, an extra $500-$1000 MXN per day. The place itself is very nice and has what you need to live comfortably, including a fully equipped kitchen and a rooftop terrace with a small pool. You can watch the fireworks there during Carnival.
