The price is very fair compared with other places to stay, and Casa Aquila is in a lovely spot at the edge of San Agustinillo. I prefer it to busy Mazunte, but there's still a beautiful beach, cute coffee places, and yoga nearby, all with a more relaxed feel. I stayed there during my 10-day silent retreat at Hridaya and for a few days afterward, and highly recommend it, especially for a retreat because it's private, quiet, close to Hridaya, and near the beach. I tried two different houses, and both had a kitchen, a nice sitting area, a bathroom, and a bedroom. They provide drinking water, AC, Starlink, fresh towels, garbage service, and laundry. The staff are so nice. Big thanks to Adrian for answering all my questions 🙏 I think you'll like staying here ☺️🌞💛

Birds fill the mornings, squirrels hop around, and now and then a cat or dog drops by. It's quiet with no road noise, but still an easy walk to the beach, good cafes, and supermarkets. We loved everything about our week at Casa Aquila. The team, Adrian, Jazon, and their colleagues, were incredibly kind, helpful, and available whenever we needed something, while also giving us space. Everything was very clean and cleaned during our stay. Our room was tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and a private terrace we loved relaxing on. The kitchen had everything we needed, the shower had plenty of water, and the air conditioning was a big plus at night. Thank you, Casa Aquila team!

Adrian was an outstanding host and looked after us so well. When we had a medical emergency in the middle of the night, he went out of his way to quickly arrange for a doctor to come see us. The room was cozy, with a well-equipped outdoor kitchen, and Mazunte's beach and shops were within walking distance. Scooters are available to rent for trips to nearby villages and beaches.

We extended our booking by five nights as soon as we arrived at Casa Aquila, and the stay lived up to our hopes. The apartment was lovely, with a well-stocked kitchen, a desk and comfortable chair that worked well for remote work, and a hammock for relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. Although the room had recently had AC installed, we didn't need it at night. The clever design keeps the bedrooms cool and shady, so the fan was enough. Adrian was friendly and quick to respond. We also loved meeting his dog Luna and the cats. A 10/10 stay, and we'll definitely book again if we're back in mazunte!

The staff really made this place feel like home. Adrian and Jazon are great and help however they can, and the friendly cats and gorgeous dog Luna add to the welcome. The rooms are sweet and clean, with lovely balconies, hammocks, and small kitchens. It's a quiet, peaceful haven in Mazunte, and also well placed for St Augustinillo beach, which we liked better. Highly recommended.
