The photos show the place just as it is. After traveling from Dallas, a quick, refreshing dip in the private rooftop pool was exactly what we needed. The bedroom was beautifully designed, the bed very comfortable, and the AC kept things fresh. Thanks for sharing such a lovely space. We loved it and will definitely return.

We’d gladly return to this lovely Casa if we’re in Mérida again. It felt welcoming right away, and the room was nicely decorated with coffee, a TV, free Wi-Fi, and cold drinking water waiting in the fridge. The clean, modern bathroom had a rain shower, soap, and towels. Outside, there was a private pool, as is common in Mérida. The location worked well, too. The neighborhood felt fine to walk around, the main street with plenty going on was three minutes away, and we found public parking right in front without trouble. Service was the only reason I didn’t give five stars. There was a communication mix-up: we had two keys, and someone else needed the second one, so we had to go back. When we had a question, though, we got a quick reply.

The bathroom’s open indoor-outdoor setup means humidity and heat can bring in bugs, and water can get into the bathroom and sliding door area. Neither bothered my girlfriend or me much, but it’s something to keep in mind when booking. The room itself is spectacular and makes good use of the Yucatán’s beauty. Casa Chaka is close to many of Merida’s sights and activities, and the hosts do their best to accommodate you and reply quickly to messages and questions. I can’t say enough good things about the place and the atmosphere created for guests. For a visit to this romantic, beautiful area, Casa Chaka is a great place to stay.

I booked through AirBnB, and it worked out really well for me and my dog. The place matched the photos, cozy, colorful, and comfortable, with Paseo Montejo close by. I was able to walk everywhere, and the host was responsive and accommodating. For a longer stay, bring your own water, hair conditioner, and trash bag.
