Casa Lecanda Boutique Hotel

After days exploring Mérida and the surrounding area, it was lovely to come back to the relaxing spaces and refreshing pool. The hotel is close to nice restaurants, bars, and the market, and the staff can help arrange transport and great tours. Our room was beautiful, calm, welcoming, and sooo clean, and the staff were very helpful. We stayed during the Day of the Dead period and watched beautiful celebrations from the hotel rooftop, which was soon to open. Even with thousands of locals watching the carnival, the hotel stayed peaceful and quiet. It was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for having us, we’ll be back!

We really enjoyed staying here. The pool was just right, and the hammock area was so relaxing. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful about everything.

It’s painful to write this because we chose this hotel specifically for our wedding. In the days before the wedding began, $1,200 USD went missing from our bags. The hotel reviewed the security footage but said there was no coverage in the garden suite. We left with little confidence that they had really investigated or cared about the event. On top of that, the hotel was undergoing major construction, and no one had warned us beforehand. The bar was closed, and construction workers were constantly walking through the hotel during our whole stay.
