Hotel Chichen Itza

I came here only because mayaland hotel and bungalows was temporarily shut. A hotel worker told me it was pretty much the same, but no, it isn’t. It’s noisy and right on a main road, and the place needs renovation. The only real reason to stay is how close it is to Chichen Itza. Breakfast was below average, and dinner was both very overpriced and not very good. They charged more than I’d paid for a gourmet restaurant in vallodilodad. If you do come, eat somewhere else and stay just one night so you can get to Chichen Itza early the next morning. Otherwise, I don’t see the point of visiting.

The garden is beautiful, and the room we had was spacious and clean, though the bathroom was a little dated. We stayed for two nights. The ruins at Chichen Itza aren’t too far, but they’re not within walking distance. Breakfast was good, but the breakfast area faces a busy main road and was very loud. It would be nicer to have breakfast in the garden. They do expect a tip.

The birds at dawn and dusk were lovely to listen to, and we felt very happy during our stay. It was relaxing and comfortable enough that I’d come back to Mexico just to stay here again. The gardens are beautiful, and the rooms were clean and comfy. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, and both the restaurant and bar were excellent. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. There’s plenty of parking beside the hotel, near the main reception. There aren’t any fridges in the rooms, which seems common in Mexico, but having one would be a nice touch.

Chichen Itza is super close, which was the main reason we stayed in Piste. Our room was wonderful, with beautiful furniture and a spacious, excellent bathroom. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We weren’t keen on the lunch or dinner options. Breakfast was included and decent, but the food overall wasn’t the best. We’d definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
