Hotel Hacienda Merida

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the centre, and having secure parking off the street in such a central spot was a big plus. The staff were all super helpful, and breakfast was simple but good quality. It’s a seriously lovely, film-like place to stay in Mérida, with elegant, exquisite design and a calm feel geared toward rest. The rooms are on the small side but great, and I especially loved the bed.

We had a great conversation with Alberto about Merida and Maya history. He was special, very nice, and knowledgeable. The hotel is beautiful and well located, very close to parque Santa Lucía, with plenty of food and bar options around. There’s parking close by, the rooms were clean, and everybody was super nice. We’ll definitely be back in Mérida and hope to stay here again next year.

The hotel is gorgeous, even better than the pictures online. The staff were wonderful, especially Issac, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, the pool was clean, and our kids, ages 7 and 10, were really happy. I’d say it’s more of a hotel for adults, though. They have rooms that may not be listed online, so it’s worth calling to ask. Breakfast isn’t included, but it’s lovely if you choose to have it. We’ll definitely stay here again next time.

When we arrived, it felt like stepping into a quiet world away from the streets, with a beautiful hacienda vibe. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. We were caught in hurricane Milton, but the hotel staff made arrangements to look after all the guests, and the bar made sure we had drinks in hand so we could still have an amazing time. The rooms are lovely and rustic. Highly recommend!
