Kuka y Milpa is a gorgeous place with a relaxing scent, and the host was very helpful when we ran into problems. Our one-night stay did have a few: the Wi-Fi was very slow, there were mosquitoes in the room, and the warm water and electricity kept getting interrupted. So, a mixed experience overall.

As a solo traveler, I felt safe at Kuka y Milpa, and the place was modern and comfortable. Antonio was a great host, with helpful recommendations as a city native. I also liked having breakfast in the cute shared kitchen. Getting around was easy: it's a 5-minute walk to the Ado bus station for trips to Uxmal, and about 10 minutes to Cathedral De San Ildefonso. The town square nearby has plenty of other sights, restaurants, and shops.

The outside doesn't give much away, but inside it's a lovely oasis with a beautiful design, almost like a boutique hotel. The staff are so friendly, the room is gorgeous, especially the bathroom, and breakfast was great too.
