Friendly service, though the terrace could be quicker. The food feels pretty average for the price, and a bit overpriced. There are better breakfast choices nearby.

We liked the hotel enough to extend our stay, and really appreciated the hospitality. The mansion felt warm and welcoming, with an elegant opulence and a French flavor that gave us a sense of Mérida. Rosas and Xocolate made that experience possible, and we’d recommend others come enjoy it too. Paseo de Montejo in Mérida, Mexico, with its grand architecture and tree-lined avenues, is inspired by the Champs-Élysées in Paris. It reflects the city’s historic wealth and draws both locals and visitors. The staff were beyond reproach and ready to help with anything. What impressed us most at Rosas and Xocolate was the distinguished service from Sales Manager Monsour Crisiant. He was exceptionally kind, and patiently shared his impressive knowledge across many topics as he answered our questions. We were so impressed that we wanted to recommend him to corporations, businesses, tourists, and travelers looking for advice on large company gatherings. If your company is considering leasing the whole hotel for a team-building experience, he’s the person to call. Thank you, Crisiant. Your professionalism and dedication are impeccable.

The food and drinks were so good. I know where I’m heading first when I’m back.

Our room at Rosas y Xocolate opened right by the pool, so we had a quiet little escape from the busy Main Street. There were three of us, but the separate bedroom and lounge gave us plenty of room. The staff were warm and patient while I practiced my Spanish, and the breakfast was a real treat: a hot drink, juice, pastry, and a choice from a big menu. I especially liked the smoked salmon bagel. It was about a 20 minute walk to the main square, with plenty to see nearby too. Rosas y Xocolate was a lovely way to begin our trip around the peninsula. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Merida.

The service was top-notch, and my Eggs Benedict was fantastic. The poached egg and hollandaise were just right, and the mimosa was great too. I’d read the lower-rated reviews about the coffee, food, and service, but decided to come for the food anyway. I haven’t tried the coffee yet, though I might next time. If coffee was the only thing people disliked, I can skip it.
