Hotel Suites Flamboyanes

I was in town for an event nearby, so the location suited me, even though this isn't a touristy part of town. The hotel was comfortable, with a great bed and pillows, and it stayed surprisingly quiet despite being on a main road. There's a nice little pool, too. My one gripe: our double room could sleep four, but had just one electrical outlet. Four people trying to charge phones and laptops would be a mess.

The staff didn't speak English, but they were very friendly. Still, I felt the hotel wasn't worth what I paid. We stayed at two similarly priced places that were much nicer and cleaner. The bedding had quite a bit of hair on it, and after it was cleaned the next day, there was hair again. I'm not sure whether that showed in the picture. We left for another hotel and lost the money. The old bathroom looked and felt dirty, and the air conditioner only had on and off settings, so it got too cold when running and too warm when switched off.

We had a triple bed room, which worked out fantastically for our family with four children. It was a lovely budget stay, and the shower pressure in our room was out of this world. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. We'd definitely come back.

I stayed two nights and felt welcome. The rooms were clean and great, and the pool was great too. It's a good place to rest for the night, though it's not very central. There's a restaurant, but I only wanted coffee and would have had to pay the buffet price for it, so I went for a walk and found an OXXO a couple of blocks north. All in all, a great place.
