Amberes 64, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, especially Aldair, who helped us several times and was always glad to do it. Our room had recently been renovated, with plenty of space, and it was spotless. The location was great too. We did hear noise from nearby nightclubs at night, which comes with staying centrally. We put white noise on our phone and slept perfectly.

Zona Rosa comes with dance music most nights, often until early morning. We didn’t mind, but if sound bothers you, a quieter neighborhood may suit you better. The hotel is right across from Handshake Speakeasy, near a convenience store for water, electrolyte drinks, and produce, the Artisans' Market, and a lively boulevard with bars, street vendors, and shops. My husband and I spent a week here. The room was spacious, and the cleaners were efficient. Everyone was kind, and we were greeted with a smile by Saúl each day. David at the front desk also put care into helping me figure out how to ship a package from CDMX to my home in Minnesota. I ultimately didn’t send it, but I really appreciated his attention. I’d happily stay here again. The free breakfast was simple and delightful. The kitchen closes around 10:30 or 11 am, I can’t quite remember, which worked well on mornings when we slept in. The gym was well kept, brightly lit, and had new equipment and convenient hours. We didn’t get to try the steam room, maybe next time.

Saul went out of his way to help us find somewhere open for cash late at night, either an ATM or currency exchange, and even came along with us. ¡Muchas gracias! The location and amenities were excellent. There’s a nightclub across the street, but the staff had thoughtfully left earplugs by the bed. We had a wonderful stay in CDMX and will definitely return on our next trip.

We spent eight nights at this hotel over New Year 2026, and on January 2 we felt a 6.5 earthquake. Scary! The location is fantastic, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was hot and made to order. We had chilaquiles, molletes, pancakes with fruit, bread, juice, and coffee, all delicious. Estefania Reyes served us every day and was kind, friendly, and extremely helpful. She made breakfast a pleasure.
