After the bar closed one night, the person working there walked with me and two others to what he called the best taqueria in Mexico City. The tacos really were the best I’ve ever had. The hotel bar also has lovely tequila and mezcal, plus cheap beer. There are parks and bars all around, and the staff are friendly and know their stuff. The beds and showers are fine.

The breakfast comes from a nearby place around the corner, and it was delicious, a big improvement on the usual continental spread. Staff were friendly, and it felt like good value. I stayed in a pod room on the Reforma. It’s basically just a bed filling the space, but gives you more privacy than a bunk. A few hooks and a shelf for a jacket or phone would help.

My pod was tiny, with no room to stand, but I only needed a bed and some privacy at a low price, so it worked well. For a hostel, there are plenty of extras: a towel, welcome drink, free soap and shampoo, plus coffee in the common area. The staff were sociable, friendly, and spoke several languages, including English, Spanish, and French. Wi-Fi worked well throughout on three networks, and I liked relaxing on the terrace and looking out at the view. The location was ideal for getting around on foot or by cheap Uber. I’d definitely return.

A friendly hostel with clean, nice rooms and really welcoming staff. It’s in a very safe area with lots of police around, though prices are a little high since it’s a tourist spot. There’s a bar to hang out in, and the roof is a cool place to relax too.

We stopped by for a drink and to find people to go out with. The person at reception was super friendly and gave us useful ideas for places to visit in the city. We met some nice people and had a good time on the roof terrace. Recommended!
