Jorge at Hostal Juárez was a great guide around the city, and really friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood itself is mellow, but Roma Norte's busier streets are just a quick walk away. I had a 10/10 stay here recently. It's relaxed, with no wild partying, but there's still a good social atmosphere.

Skye and Jorge became my besties while I was here, and both were lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive, and quick to offer recommendations. My room was clean, and having my own fan was great for keeping cool and making a bit of white noise. The area is lovely, close to lots of good places, Roma Norte, and major sights. I really enjoyed staying here! ⭐️

Jorge made the stay especially memorable for me. His kindness, upbeat energy, and genuine hospitality meant a lot, and I felt really welcome. I'm grateful for the time I spent here and will remember it fondly. The reception team were all caring and friendly, and treated me more like a friend than a guest. The rooms stayed clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the shared areas had a warm feel where it was easy to relax and connect with people. It really felt like a home away from home.

The street is quiet, and the mattress was comfortable enough, but I don't understand the high score. It's okay, just not a 4.6 for me. The staff seemed like budget travelers staying in exchange for accommodation, without much training. A girl in my room warned me to check my sheets because she'd seen the receptionist sleep there and leave in the morning. The receptionist said they had been changed, but I still found a couple of hairs. Mine is dark and curly, so they definitely weren't mine. The rooms and bathrooms looked clean overall, but that left me unsure about the hygiene standards. And shared hand towels in the bathrooms are frankly disgusting. Most hostels now have paper towel dispensers. The rooms don't lock, which seems to assume nobody staying there would be shady. There's not really a social area, so it didn't feel social at all. My top locker was also very hard to reach.

Juanita kept everything spotless and really brightened up the place. At reception, Skye and Jorge Luis made good coffee, gave even better advice, and were there for a chat or any questions. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the staff were the highlight for me. I spent my first few nights in the city at Hostal Juárez, and it was a great place to get started. The neighborhood is safe and pretty, and lots of places are within walking distance. The hostel has a relaxed feel, a nice rooftop, and plenty of activities to choose from. I really appreciated the whole stay and hope to come back soon!
