Mr. Herold homes

On the second night we got locked out of our room, and nobody was at reception. We had to wake the security guard, who then blamed us for locking the door. It was ridiculous. I also asked to speak to the manager, but she wasn’t there on weekends. Why wouldn’t the manager be around on the hotel’s busiest days? I waited until Monday, then spent two hours in reception while she was in a meeting. The best she could offer was a discount for a future visit. The room situation was awful from the start. I’d booked a room with a panoramic view and kitchenette a month before arriving. They offered an “upgraded” room, but when I looked, it was smaller than what I’d booked and had no windows, so I declined. They showed me other rooms that weren’t the one I reserved. I told the receptionist I just wanted the room I’d booked, and she said it wasn’t available. I tried to get a refund, but she said I had to contact booking.com. Booking.com told me to deal directly with the hotel because they’d changed my room without my consent. Absolutely horrible experience 👎
