The price was fair, and I met lots of lovely people. I’d come back if I stay in this part of Mexico City again. There’s a park across the street and a breakfast-style restaurant next door, and most sights are within walking distance. Ubers were easy to get from here and run 24/7. The hostel had a nice upstairs kitchen and rooftop terrace. The rooms had plenty of space for belongings, lockable areas, and several washrooms and showers, I think three in each bathroom. There was no curfew, but staff lock the main doors at 11pm, so you have to ring the bell on the left to get back in. One staff member actually lived in the room I was staying in. Staff were friendly, and it was a very nice stay.

The common areas are roomy and comfortable, and there’s a rooftop terrace and useful kitchen. The metal bunks are sturdy, with power and curtains, though the little locker underneath mine was nearly useless because the lock tabs had a huge gap. Location was decent, not too far from Av. Juárez. Almost as good as Casa MX.

One thing that bothered me: I tore the lower back of my jeans on the lockers, and later cut my finger on them while putting my bag away. Staff said they knew about the problem and would fix it the next day, but after more than three weeks no one had sanded them down. The place itself is spacious, quiet, centrally located, and extremely clean, with high ceilings and a sensible layout. Staff are always pleasant. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need and is kept clean. Right next door at Domingo are some of the best tacos I’ve had in CDMX, especially the carne asado con queso! The rooftop is a lovely space, but could use comfortable places to lounge, such as benches or couches, some greenery, and a covered area, so people can enjoy it during the day.

We had a great time here. Getting around was easy, with the hostel between two train stations and a bus station. There’s an Oxxo around the corner, taco stands nearby, and a taco place right next door. The staff were so welcoming and did a great job bringing guests together, so it was easy to meet people. The rooms and beds were really nice, with blackout curtains and bed styles that gave more privacy than standard bunks. The locker underneath fit a carry-on, which felt secure. The kitchen and rooftop were both nice communal spaces.

We had a great stay at this newly opened hostel. It was very clean, the facilities were nice, and the bathrooms felt modern. Reception had staff around the clock who were ready to help. The kitchen was a bit small, but fine. The rooftop could use chairs or a few other things to make it feel more inviting; hopefully that’ll come as the place has been open longer. You can buy plenty of handy things, including beers, behind reception.
