Hotel Boutique Casa Alebrije

Clear and convenient overall, and well located for exploring Coyoacán. I only spent the night there, so I didn't get to make full use of the facilities.

The staff made us feel at home, offering useful recommendations and help without hovering. We also loved the Octopus Room, and the spotless, comfortable room was a quiet place to come back to after exploring. Casa Alebrije sits close to everything, yet still feels like a peaceful escape. Breakfast is included, and tea and coffee are available around the clock. The colorful decor, full of Mexican artistry, gives Hotel Boutique Casa Alebrije a warm, authentic feel from the moment you arrive. A lovely, intimate stay.

Comfortable rooms, a lovely garden, and really good service in this little hotel.

The Oaxaca pieces in the rooms are lovely, but where they’re displayed feels dangerous. In the owl room, I hit my head hard on the corner of the shelf beside the bed. Four days later it still hurts, and I think I may have a slight concussion. I moved the floor lamp in front of the shelf so I wouldn’t hit it again. I saw the same danger in all three rooms I stayed in. The young woman on the day shift is very good at her job and deserves a raise. The young man working evenings shouldn’t be in customer service.
