Hotel Riazor Aeropuerto

We stayed in a Junior suite, and the staff were extremely nice and ready to help. The hotel felt family-friendly and, to me, as nice as or nicer than Holiday Inn for half the price. There’s both a restaurant and a cafe. Room service runs until 11:00 pm, while the cafe is open 24 hours and has great juice. The air conditioning was the main issue. The room was cool during the day, but seemed to stop working at night. I told the front desk on our first night, and maintenance came right away. It seemed fixed until we returned from centro and the room was warm again. The pool was very cloudy on our first night, and there was a dead bird just outside it. Maintenance removed the bird quickly. The water was clearer the second night, but the pool bottom was very slippery and needs scrubbing. The water temperature was lovely, around 30 degrees Celsius.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely quick overnight stay. The covered rooftop pool was nice, with side windows that open, and the sauna was lovely too. The hotel is close to the airport, but we didn’t hear planes all night. Getting to the more downtown parts of Mexico City is a quick Uber ride. They provide bottled water, which was appreciated, though I’d love to see refill stations added. We saw those in just one place in Mexico, and they were great. One TV channel also lets you cast from streaming apps, which was a fun touch. The only downside was the food we ordered at the bistro. The loaded fries were a bit underwhelming. We noticed a similar thing elsewhere around Mexico City, so our takeaway was to stick with local cuisine, which was excellent overall. The other things we ordered here were good. Great stay!

We’ll definitely return to Hotel Raizor. The value, amenities, staff, and overall experience were amazing. We go to CDMX every year and have stayed at countless hotels of different star ratings, but this was by far the best staff we’ve had. They were superb, friendly, genuine, experienced, personable, and spoke multiple languages. The airport shuttle is free both ways and very convenient. The hotel is just 6-8 minutes from the airport and the main bus terminal TAPO. It’s also well located for sightseeing in CDMX and for concerts and events. We were traveling with family, and the staff arranged rooms basically next to each other. That may seem small, but we’ve asked at every hotel and never had it honored before. It says a lot about how much they care for their guests. The pool is really great: covered, temperature-controlled, with a jacuzzi, towels, and food you can order. The attendant was super sweet. There’s a sauna too, just ask a few minutes ahead so they can turn it on. It’s about four feet deep, which might not suit younger kids. The beds were wonderful, with soft sheets, luxurious bedding, and lovely pillows. The rooms felt thoughtfully designed. The restaurant food was good, though not great. There was lots of variety, good value, and great staff.

We’ve already planned another stay this month while traveling to and from the airport. The rooms and hotel were clean, and the staff were friendly. It’s a bit cheaper than the airport hotels, with quality on par and a good restaurant on site. If you need a Mexico City Airport hotel with a shuttle, this is a great option.
