The rooms are nice, and this small boutique hotel has a lovely, charming feel. It’s in the historic Coyoacan neighborhood, right by the plaza, so we could walk out to excellent restaurants, lively dancers and drummers, and the Frida Kahlo museum nearby. There aren’t many services readily available on site. My two main complaints were the street noise coming through the windows all night in my front-facing king room, and having to wait at the front door after ringing the bell to get in.

The decor has a lot of charm, and the hotel is clean and well located in Coyoacán. But our room’s bathroom had glass partitions around the toilet and shower, which offered little privacy and felt uncomfortable even for a couple. The front door bell was also very loud throughout the hallway, especially at night, and interrupted our rest. It’s a lovely property with potential, and a few changes could make the guest experience much better.

We had a lovely time. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were nice, and the service was great. Natalia welcomed us at night, was really kind and attentive, and helped with everything we needed. It was also a great base for exploring the south of the city, then coming back to somewhere peaceful to rest from all the city bustle.

Ms. Ana and her team made sure we were comfortable and looked after us so well. We felt safe the whole time. The hotel sits on beautiful Francisco Sosa in Coyoacan, with little shops and restaurants all around. The walk to “la plaza de Coyoacan” took about 18 minutes, which was no problem for us. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

We loved coming back to Orchid House after a day in the city or a walk through Coyoacan's historic streets. It's such a peaceful, clean little boutique hotel, a quiet pocket away from Mexico City's bustle. Natalia helped us plan things, Alexandra made lovely farm-fresh breakfasts, and Ana took care of everything with real warmth.
