I really enjoyed the relaxing scent in the shared spaces, and even the tissue roll had a floral fragrance when I opened it. The orchids and lilies made the place feel especially lovely, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. I booked a one-hour massage in my room and it was perfect. Aura was great too, especially the thin-crust brick oven pizza with fresh ingredients, and the cocktails and mocktails were refreshing. They had a bike or two available, and there was always a doorman to open the entrance and front gate. Service was excellent. My one reason for not giving five stars was the shower, since the pressure couldn't be controlled and water spilled out of the shower. A lovely boutique hotel overall.

WhatsApp made it easy to get things sorted, with replies to requests coming within seconds. The staff were kind, attentive, and thoughtful throughout my stay, and their service was a big part of a memorable Mexico City trip. Orchid House is beautiful, with traditional Mexican design, and I also loved the food and drinks at the on-site restaurant. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it.

The room was gorgeous, and the location felt both ideal and very safe. Everyone on staff was so friendly and attentive that we had a wonderful stay. We have nothing but good things to say about Orchid House Mexico City.

We stayed with another couple for five nights and four nights in two rooms, paying $3700 altogether. A lot of the positives are covered in other reviews, and we found those to be true as well. Still, two things brought my rating down to three stars. The bathroom in our upstairs front room, which was otherwise nice and had a balcony, sometimes smelled of sewage. The odor came and went in both the water and the air, and wasn't overpowering, but it was noticeable. At checkout I was charged 300 pesos, about $15, for a broken pressed glass water glass. I did break it while rinsing it with bottled water in the sink, but I cleaned it up carefully and handed it to the front desk in a paper bag so the cleaning lady wouldn't get cut. We were quiet, courteous guests, stayed a long time, and paid $3700. We'd also happily agreed when the other couple was asked at check-in to switch rooms the next day because of an event in the lobby. Charging us for the glass felt lacking in accommodation and professional courtesy, and possibly just poor judgment.

The neighborhood felt peaceful and very secure, and you can walk to the Museum of Anthropology, Soumaya Musuem, and Chapultepec. The staff were friendly and ready to help. We had an excellent stay, and I'd definitely recommend it.
